Our Past Trip to Guatemala

Happy Fall everyone,

We wanted to give you some insight from the trip we had to Guatemala! We had a wonderful turn out and helped so many people during the time we were there. Be sure to head to the “Past Trips” tab on our website to see some photos from the trip.

We have some insight about the trip from Scott Holotik. “Doing a medical clinic today in Antigua Guatemala with my friends from ICR Missions. Everyone that comes gets medical attention from several different practicing physicians in their respected fields and premed students from Campbell University. They are then treated like royalty in many ways. Ladies even have their feet washed and toenails painted. Jesus did not just say I love you. He showed it in His actions. Glory to God! What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus, also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. *James 2:14-17.” He went on to say, “Preaching the gospel in our actions. We can’t stop, no we won’t stop! Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them”. * Luke 7:22.” And lastly, “Kingdom work. All in the name of Jesus! Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1st Corinthians 15:58 Disclaimer: What we do we do for the glory of God! Not to make a name for ourselves or to receive any credit for. Thanks be to God”

What a beautiful way to express what we do when out in the field. Thank you for the lovely in country portrayal of what we do and why. It is always fun and uplifting to share stories and photos from everyone that attends a mission trip.

We are very excited that our trip to the Dominican Republic is next month! We cannot wait to see how God will use our team there!

Blessings,

ICR support staff
